About Us

Richards Bros was established in 1934 at Drift near Penzance. The core business was base around general engineering for the local agricultural and fishing industries. With a diesel injection workshop installed in the mid 50’s the road to becoming a specialist had begun.

To improve our quality of service the business moved to Redruth in 1983 allowing us to cover a greater customer base. Business activities now concentrated solely on diesel injection repairs and sales.

With the business expanding the decision was made to move into purpose built premises, and in 1989 we moved into our current building. With the facilities for a fully equipped diesel injection workshop and the addition of a vehicle workshop we offered a complete diagnostic and repair service. With this expansion we were appointed as official service agents and distributors for a number of leading diesel and petrol injection manufacturers and repairers.

The company formed into Richards Bros Ltd in 2002 and carries out work for private clients, motor trade and franchised main dealers.

We also offer performance and rolling road tuning, helping a number of local race and rally teams to success with our advice, products and technical assistance.

The Future:
Being a small dedicated team we will continue to give a personal 1-to-1 service. This has been a fundamental part of our success.

With electronic control systems on both petrol and diesels vehicles becoming more and more advanced, we are constantly improving our staff training and capacity for vehicle diagnostics and repairs. We will continue to development our vehicle and diesel injection workshops allowing us to be at the forefront of our industry.
